Joe is a Licensed Master’s Social Worker, with just shy of a decade worth of experience working in the field. He has worked with children and families in a wide variety of inpatient and outpatient programs, providing individual, family, and group sessions.  He earned his Master’s of Social Work from Southern Connecticut State University with a concentration on children and families.

Joe specializes in working with adults and children that struggle with PTSD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and the struggles of everyday life. He uses an eclectic approach, combining aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, trauma focused CBT, and motivational interviewing. Joe also has experience with therapeutic recreation and likes to use whatever form of engagement helps make the client most comfortable and create a healthy therapeutic relationship while working towards the clients goals for success. While remaining goals oriented, Joe likes to use humor and empathy to help clients find their path through the struggles they are experiencing, while empowering the client through all of life’s changes with the help of coping skills, establishing workable goals, and providing support.
